Students from Novi Pazar and Belgrade high schools visited Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, within a project „Improvement of tolerance and understanding values through critical thinking and creativity“, organized by Helsinki Committee for Human Rights.
Commissioner for the Protection of Equality Brankica Jankovic welcomed the pupils, reminding them on the importance of personal contribution in construction of tolerant society, without discrimination.
Schoolgirls and schoolboys discussed the authorities, mechanisms for protection against discrimination and improvement of equality with Head of Complaints Group Tijana Milosevic and Independent Advisor in the Advocacy Sector Relja Pantic.
The project, which is supported by OSCE Mission in Serbia, has a goal to increase knowledge of young persons in the area of protection of human rights and to stimulate them in youth activism in area of suppression of violent extremism.
