Equality Code Presented to Members of the UN Global Compact Network Serbia

In honor of International Human Rights Day, the Annual Assembly of the UN Global Compact Network Serbia was held at the Sava Center, bringing together companies and organizations committed to sustainable development.

During the panel discussion “The Private Sector and Human Rights,” Senior Advisor Danijela Ristovski presented the activities of the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality aimed at combating discrimination in the field of labor and employment, as well as the updated guidelines for developing the Equality Code for employers in Serbia. In dialogue with representatives of businesses and the International Labour Organization, the discussion highlighted the importance of adhering to the principles of non-discrimination and equal opportunities, as well as fostering equality in the workplace on an ongoing basis.

Educational initiatives with employers, organized in cooperation with GIZ Serbia, were also announced. Members of the UN Global Compact Network Serbia were invited to join the Commissioner’s Partnership for Equality to increase the number of businesses implementing anti-discrimination and inclusive workplace policies.
