The “First Regional Forum of Equality bodies of South-east Europe” Conference, organized by the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, is aimed at establishing  a functional model of regional cooperation for equality bodies from countries of this region. This model will contribute to the improvement of actions related to the protection of human rights and promotion of equality.

Commissioner Brankica Janković will open the conference.

Special attention will be given to efficient suppression of discrimination in the field of labor and employment, a problem that most citizens of Serbia and of other countries in the region face.

In addition, the winners of Annual journalist award for tolerance will be announced at the Conference, by Commissioner for Protection of Equality and OSCE Mission in Serbia.

The conference at “Serbia Palace” will be attended by guest from the region, representatives of state and other institutions of public authorities, embassies and international organizations in Serbia, non-governmental organizations and the media.
