Commissioner for the Protection of Equality Brankica Jankovic gave lecture on the role of institution of Commissioner in the combat against discrimination at the Faculty of Law in Belgrade. She presented the legal status, competencies and action mechanisms of the institution to the students, as well as several examples from the practice of Commissioner for the Protection of Equality.

Some of the topics that caused the most interest among students were the meaning of affirmative measures aimed to the improvement of equality of sensitive social groups, acting upon the recommendation of Commissioner and the importance of using of gender sensitive language. Commissioner told students that it is crucial to persist in the process of eradicating prejudices and stereotypes leading to discrimination and that she believes that the generations of future lawyers will play a major role in this.
