Commissioner for Protection of Equality Brankica Jankovic was one of the main speakers at the Round table dedicated to the presenting of development of the national capacities of Serbia for participation of civilians in peace supporting missions, which was organized by International Security and Affairs Center – ISAC Fund.
At the meeting, Commissioner Jankovic presented her personal experience and impressions from the recent training of civilians for participation of civilians in peace supporting missions. She emphasized how important is the presence of representatives of the Republic of Serbia in the civilian peace missions, which is one of the ways to improve global significance and reputation of our country. Training included, among others, the management in crisis situation, providing the first aid, driving the terrain vehicles and behavior in hostile environment.
Milan Pajovic, president of ISAC Fund Counseling Board and Nikola Petrovic, ISAC Fund director opened the meeting, while other speakers at the Round table were also Collonel Dr Katarina Strbac, director of Department for European Integration and Project Management in the Ministry of Defense and Ambassador Branimir Filipovic, acting Assistant Minister for security policy of the Ministry of Defense. Meeting was attended by ambassadors and other diplomatic representatives of EU countries, diplomacy missions of the international organizations and diplomats from non-EU countries.
