“Strength and success don’t come from the introverted knowledge, but from selfless sharing with others”, stated Commissioner for Protection of Equality Brankica Jankovic at the conference in Novi Sad, held within the project “Women in Business, Media and Culture”.
Addressing the female students from various faculties, who decided to follow path of women who already have built successful careers, after the studies, Commissioner stressed that current time offers available information, that types of doing business are changing quickly, but that one crucial thing for success remains unchanged – a courage of individual to take a new turn, create, discover and overcome inevitable obstacles.
Jankovic welcomed this and similar initiatives which offer support through personal examples, educational preparations and practical tools for work and career progress, having in mind that women in Serbia have more difficulties to find employment and their career progress is often more challenging than for their male colleagues.
Among other participants at the conference “Women in Business, Media and Culture”, who shared their experiences with young women, were also President of the National Parliament of Serbia Maja Gojkovic, Director of Matica Srpska Tijana Palkovljevic, Executive Director of NOOIS Ivanka Jovanovic, Editor in Chief of “Novi Magazin” Nadezda Gace, Director of Antenna Group in Serbia Manja Grcic, TV N1 journalist Minja Miletic and other successful women form business and public life.
