Commissioner for the Protection of Equality Brankica Janković and the President of the Steering Board of the National Youth Council of Serbia Uroš Savić Kain signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in order to improve equality and the position of young people in the Republic of Serbia, as well as prevent discrimination against young people.

After the signing of the Memorandum, a meeting was held on the occasion of joint cooperation and activities in the coming period, and there was also talk of negative media coverage of young people during the pandemic. On that occasion, the Commissioner pointed out that pointing the finger and creating negative stereotypes about any social group does not contribute to a quality response to the crisis.

The National Youth Council of Serbia (KOMS) is an association of 109 youth associations, which is the highest independent representative body of youth in Serbia.
