The Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, Milan Antonijević, spoke at the opening of the conference “Bridging Justice: Human Rights Reform in the Western Balkans,” organized by the Center for American Legal Studies and Public Policy at the Faculty of Law of the University of Kragujevac. The conference gathered representatives of the academic community, judiciary, republican and city institutions, the health system, police, and international partners.

In the panel dedicated to progress, challenges, and institutional reforms in the field of human rights in the region, Antonijević presented the practice and activities of the institution of the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality. The institution of the Commissioner has a strong ally at the Faculty of Law in Kragujevac in the work on advancing equality, the Commissioner stated, and reminded of the good results achieved by students of this faculty in moot court competitions on the topic of discrimination organized by the Commissioner every year.
