In the proceeding upon the complaint submitted by Association “Da se zna” against Josif Fidanovski, who expressed insulting and belittling attitudes about persons of same sex sexual orientation during his appearance on a national freqency TV station, Commissioner for the Protection of Equality issued an opinion that provisions of Law on the Prohibition of Discrimination were violated and gave recommendation for elimination of these violations.

With overal context, idioms and qualifications which were corelated with homosexual orientation, Josif Fidanovski violated Article 12 of Law on the Prohibition of Discrimination, thus violating the dignity of LGBT persons.

Since Josif Fidanovski did not act upon the recommendation within the legal 30 day period, Commissioner for the Protection of Equality informs the public about this, in accordance with the Law on the Prohibition of Discrimination.
