At the press conference held on that occasion, the Commissioner said that just as human rights have no gender, nation, or religion but belong to everyone &#8211; our flute is universal and belongs to humanity.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Art is a bridge between people and cultures, it awakens feelings and empathy, helps us understand the other and the different, and let&#8217;s not forget that even in the most difficult moments, music called us to solidarity and togetherness, not excluding anyone, not even those of a different skin color, religion, and nation&#8221;, Jankovi\u0107 pointed out. She added that the new generation of flutists, in terms of number and quality that we see from year to year, is encouraging because they affirm flute art and craft, and speaking about the connection between human rights and art, she emphasized gender equality and female creativity. According to her, girls today are an inspiration and support for all those who want to engage in music and art in general but think that they have no place because there is still a prejudice that some instruments are reserved only for boys. The Commissioner wished the participants to persevere in quality and creativity so that our tradition and culture would be heard far and wide because they are an important part of European and world cultural heritage.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy President of the \u010ca\u010dak City Assembly Aleksandar Maksimovi\u0107, President of the \u010ca\u010dak Cultural and Educational Community Sanja Uro\u0161evi\u0107, and flute maestro Darko Preli\u0107 spoke about the event and this year&#8217;s program.
