{"id":25567,"date":"2017-03-03T15:25:38","date_gmt":"2017-03-03T14:25:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ravnopravnost.gov.rs\/?p=25567\/"},"modified":"2017-03-08T15:56:00","modified_gmt":"2017-03-08T14:56:00","slug":"beginning-of-training-on-identification-and-prevention-of-discrimination-in-the-work-of-local-self-governments-bodies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ravnopravnost.gov.rs\/en\/beginning-of-training-on-identification-and-prevention-of-discrimination-in-the-work-of-local-self-governments-bodies\/","title":{"rendered":"Beginning of Training on Identification and Prevention of Discrimination in the Work of Local Self-governments Bodies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The first training for representatives of local governments entitled &#8220;Protection against discrimination &#8211; identifying and preventing discrimination in the work of the local self-government bodies&#8221; was organized \u00a0in Belgrade by the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality and the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-government, in cooperation with Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities.<\/p>\n<p>Ivan Bo\u0161njak, State Secretary, Tatjana Jokanovi\u0107, Assistant Commissioner for the Protection of Equality and \u0110or\u0111e Stani\u010di\u0107, Secretary General of the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities spoke at the event, while the workshop was led by representatives of Commissioner Expert Service, Emila Spasojevi\u0107 and Tijana Milo\u0161evi\u0107, together with Assistant Commissioner.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of this training is to bring the existing anti-discrimination legal framework closer to civil servants and officials in local self-governments and to establish criteria for identifying discrimination, so that they can adequately respond within their jurisdiction. Practical examples from the work of the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality will be presented to the participants of the event.
