Is There Social Justice in Serbia?

The Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, Brankica Janković, took part at the round table “Is There Social Justice in Serbia?”, organized by United Branch Syndicates Independence, on the occasion of the International Day of Social Justice.

Commissioner presented the work of the institution and stressed the ling between problems of poverty and unemployment with principles of equality and providing equal opportunities for all. She underlined that unemployment and economic crisis consequentially impact the increase of discrimination level in all societies, including ours.

Speakers at the round table were also: Zoran Stojiljković (UBS Independence), Ljubisav Orbović (SSSS), Vukašin Pavlović, Čedomir Čupić and Đorđe Pavićević from the Faculty of Political Sciences, Boža Drašković (IEN), Srećko Mihajlović from Center for Development of Syndicalism and Ivan Sekulović from the Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction Team of the Government of Serbia.
